Herpa Wings TWA Trans World Airlines Lockheed L-1649A Jetstream Reg: N8083H HE539364 Scale 1:500
More than six decades after it entered service with TWA back in 1958, N8083H can once again be admired in its original color scheme. It was integrated as a cocktail lounge into the new TWA Hotel, which opened at New York’s JFK Airport in 2019. The central elements of the 512-room hotel are the TWA Flight Center, built in 1962 and used as a terminal until 2001, and the renovated "Jetstream", as the L-1649 was called at TWA, with a redesigned interior and retro-style murals. Following two editions in the larger 1/200 scale, this absolute aviation classic is now also being released in 1/500.
