American Airlines Airbus A320 HE538879 Scale 1:500
The fleet of the world's largest airline, measured in terms of flights completed and passengers flown, consists of over 1,000 aircraft, not including the fleets of regional subsidiaries. No less than half of this immense fleet consists of short- and medium-haul aircraft from the A320 family. While the longer A321 has now taken on a greater role in fleet planning, American Airlines currently operates 48 Airbus A320s with a uniform seating configuration of 12 seats in business class and 138 seats in economy class.
